hooray, hooray for a two-sport day

you had a busy day today, toggling between two sports.

You had a busy day today (the way you like it), toggling between two sports and keeping things moving.  In the morning, you finished up your Fall baseball season playing a game in Rochester, NH and in the afternoon you began your 2017-2018 hockey season in Durham (see other blog).  From baseballs to pucks, from warmth to cold, from Fall to Winter, all in one day.

short hair, soft ice and a hat trick yield impressive debut W

After finishing up your Fall baseball season in the morning, you kicked off the 2017-2018 hockey season on Oct. 28 with a bang, scoring the first two goals for your team, and later, the tying goal (3-3)… a memorable performance on your team’s first outing of the year.  While the weather continued its warm streak and the ice was soft, the sloppy conditions didn’t stop you guys & gals from giving it your all.  You won 4-3 against a Manchester Monarchs club that played scrappy.

Besides your goal-scoring, you continue to excel as a team player, passing the puck, setting up shots and doing whatever it takes to put your line in the best possible position for a score.

You got your hair cut short before the game (is that legal in hockey?!?).  Was this the key to your good play today?? Sort of a reverse Sampson effect (look it up)?
