{"id":477,"date":"2013-11-23T00:57:13","date_gmt":"2013-11-23T00:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/camden.papabeaupreblog.com\/?p=477"},"modified":"2015-04-23T20:14:26","modified_gmt":"2015-04-23T20:14:26","slug":"a-list-of-always-for-the-festival-of-trees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/camden.papabeaupreblog.com\/?p=477","title":{"rendered":"a list of &#8220;always&#8221; for the festival of trees"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Every two years, we visit the Portsmouth \u201cFestival of Trees\u201d during the Christmas holidays.\u00a0 Our experience <em>always<\/em> includes:<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>People, lots and lots of people!<\/strong>\u00a0 It\u2019s always packed; the lines to see the decorated trees are <em>very long and the parking lot is jammed packed<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 <strong>C-C-C-C-old!<\/strong>\u00a0 Its always bone-chilling cold!\u00a0 This year was no exception, for the first time ever we skipped the first house trees because the wait outside was brutally, bone-numbingly freezing. The adults mind it more than the kids!<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Your partners in crime!\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 You always have a blast running around with your cousins. Everyone\u2019s in a good mood, zipping, skipping, taking everything in!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ainsley.papabeaupreblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_9286.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-350\" title=\"IMG_9286\" src=\"http:\/\/ainsley.papabeaupreblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_9286-1024x939.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"535\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Yummy # 1!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> the free chowder always warms us up, at just the right time.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 <strong>Making a decision!<\/strong>\u00a0 It\u2019s always fun to decide which tree \u2013 out of dozens and dozens of decorated trees &#8211;\u00a0 is our personal favorite.\u00a0 Once we decide, we take our wooden popsicle \u201cvoting stick,\u201d drop it in the container by our chosen tree, and cast our vote.\u00a0 It\u2019s more fun than voting for the President of the United States!<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0 <strong>Yummy # 2!\u00a0<\/strong> After an hour or two of tree viewing and bearing the cold, it\u2019s always wonderful to go to the Japanese Steakhouse.\u00a0 The chef cooks our food in front of us, making volcanoes out of stacked onions, lighting surprisingly hot fires and flipping food into our mouths (we try to catch things, but usually don\u2019t).<\/p>\n<p>Hooray for the 2013 Festival of Trees, one of our favorite nights during the holidays!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ainsley.papabeaupreblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_9289.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-349\" title=\"IMG_9289\" src=\"http:\/\/ainsley.papabeaupreblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_9289-1024x680.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"387\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every two years, we visit the Portsmouth \u201cFestival of Trees\u201d during the Christmas holidays.\u00a0 Our experience always includes: 1.
